Physical activity is importantWe love for all of our students to be physically active outside the classroom. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), regular physical activity can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions (2018). The CDC also state that students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, cognitive performance, and classroom behaviors. Therefore, we try to keep all of our students as active as possible when they visit us in the gym.

We truly value the time we spend with our students in Health and Fitness class. However, we know there will be times throughout the school year that students may be absent. The purpose of the Drum Fitness Journal is to give our students the opportunity to make up for any absences in Physical Education. Use the "Download Journal" tab to print your copy.
